Fat Loss Cardio for Men (video)

With Father’s Day coming up tomorrow, I thought it would be cool to share some “cardio workouts for men” and an awesome busy dad’s workout. Of course, these workouts are just as great for the ladies, too.  :-)

Before I get into the different cardio workouts,  I filmed a video for you to follow along.

If your a busy dad with kids, check out this video how you can workout actually “using” your kids as weights in this outdoor workout. (No Joke, this works!)

OUTDOOR “USE YOUR KIDS AS WEIGHT” WORKOUT

THE USE YOUR KIDS AS WEIGHT WORKOUT

Use a 1-8 year old baby, preferably two little ones are ideal.

SQUAT the baby/kid 20x /NO REST
SQUAT with pressing the baby/kid 20x/NO REST
SQUAT jump with baby/kid 20x   /NO REST

Repeat this 3x total. If you have a second baby/kid, make sure you switch between both kids so they don’t fight with one another. ( :

Cardio for Men

Again, for a balanced workout you need to hit cardio AND weights, regardless of what your end goals are. With that in mind, here’s 3 great cardio workouts perfect for men (and women too):

Track Sprints - Sprint the one of the straights, walk the curve, jog the next straight, walk the curve and then repeat.  Do that for 20 minutes and you’ll be cookin’!

Kettlebell & Band Superset - Perform  20 seconds of Kettlebell Swings, rest 10 seconds, perform 20 seconds of Band Shuffles, rest 10 seconds and repeat.  Perform 4 total supersets and then rest one minute.  1 cycle takes 5 minutes.  Repeat 2 – 4 times.

Rock Climbing - When you’re doing rock climbing right your legs will go before your arms. That said, this is a great upper and lower body workout, as well as great for cardio. And fun too!

At the end of the day, make sure your cardio workouts are intense, motivating and FUN!
